Reasons to Buy and Reuse Glass Jars, Bottles, and Containers

When I tell people about how harmful plastic and metal is for preparing and storing food they always get super excited to make a change. Then they rethink it and make excuses like, "It's way too expensive to replace all of my stuff with glass, and it's a hassle."

Well, that's not the case at all. If anything, it costs close to nothing for most glass things. Sure, one might have to save up their pennies for a nice set of glass cookware, but storage is as easy as buying food in glass. After the food is eaten, one has a beautiful glass container just waiting to be reused or made into something. Get creative, because the possibilities are endless.

It's super easy to only buy glass or paper at the market. I ended up replacing all of my containers with glass. I didn't have to go out and buy anything extra because they all came with the food! Also, what's super nice about it is that if a lid tarnishes or a glass breaks, it's easy to replace it and recycle the old one. They're charming as well, and if one collects a nice set of them, they can be used for all sorts of things.

Also, here's a great little collection of ideas:

So there you have it. There's no need to buy plastic or metal, because glass is just too fun!
