Kids

“Make things as simple as possible but no simpler.” - Albert Einstein

I can't stop listening to this song. It's an old favorite, and it's been playing over and over in my head. Of course everyone has their own translation of it, but for me, it's about losing touch with what's essential in life: Being human. I've forgotten that along the way; I'm sure most have. What's important though is that we rediscover that. A new chapter in life if you will. And remember: Control yourself, take only what you need from it.

Listen to the song here, and play it loud:
MGMT - Kids

"Kids"

You were a child,
Crawlin' on your knees toward it.
Makin' mama so proud,
But your voice was too loud.
We like to watch you laughing.
You pick the insects off plants.
No time to think of consequences.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wanted, To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wanted, To be haunted.

The water is warm,
But it's sending me shivers.
A baby is born,
Crying out for attention.
Memories fade, like looking through a fogged mirror.
Decision to decisions are made and not bought,
But I thought, this wouldn't hurt a lot. I guess not.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wanted, To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wanted, To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wanted, To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wanted, To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wanted, To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of treeeeees...
