Ahoy. Ye scurvy sea dogs!

I finally finished up Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, and I must say it is a good read. A fast one too, I highly recommend it to anyone that has not had a chance to experience it. The characters are just full of life and go through really interesting arches. It was really inspiring.

Also, just for fun, here is a pic from my crazy birthday party. There were about 8 of us with September Birthdays sharing the cake. It was a big ass party because my friend Nino, standing next to me, invited like his whole MySpace friends list.

My Hitote

A good friend of mine, Mike, started something called The Hitote Project which is a collection of “Hands” drawn by different artists in the industry.

“We get our name from the Japanese word "hitote" (Hee-Toe-Teh) meaning "one hand" or "one's own effort" implying a multitude of things but specifically the hand we draw with, the hand in the image, and how an artist relies on their own efforts to achieve their goals.”

This illustrates me trying to capture the “essence” of who I am. Some parts I never understand or will slip away though my fingertips, but still with every piece that I seize... I learn more about myself.

It is birthday time for Claudia though, so she is going to disappear for a day or so.

And here is a picture that took me a whole two seconds to paint but for some reason like it so much that I want to share. I was messing with colors for a upcoming painting.
