Zelda: Twilight Princess

I just finished playing Zelda on the Wii last night and brought down the evil that, once again, threatened the land of Hyrule. It is hard for me to say what I think about this game because I was so neutral about it. Being my favorite series, I am very nostalgic and on the other hand very critical about this title. Twilight Princess was definitely that same repetitive formula masked with a new interface and better graphics. Obviously I accepted that going into to the game and did not expect much more. I even ran into a huge glitch after about 43 hours in that trapped Link in a room and would not let him progress FOREVER. (If you are interested in what I am talking about you can check out this link, because what happened to this poor guy is the same thing that happened to me.)

So all pissy and flustered, after I realized that my game was possibly over, I began to think about how I could continue on my quest to save the Princess Zelda. Fortunately the Devil himself came to my aid and supplied me with a save file that started right before this problem so I could continue as normal with my little adventure.

By the time I reached the end I was happy again and came to the conclusion that it was worth my time. It was when they gave you an unexpected twist or made something new and different that I actually had fun. There was enough original content to keep me happy about it, especially a not so typical fighting setup at the end. (Trying not to spoil anything) All in all, this game will never take the place of Ocarina of Time, but it was a nice attempt.

Twilight Princess I bid you adieu…

Miyamoto said that TP was going to be the last of the Zelda as we know it. Do u think they'll drastically change the formula?

I dont wanna say that I'm tired of playing OoT-style Zeldas, but I am ready for something new and it sounds like you are too.

I can't wait to see the next one!!

Hello again,
If that is the case then I welcome it with open arms. I think it needs a change.

And if Shigeru said he is going to alter the games then I assume he will keep his word.
